Texas native, Chuck McBride is a contemporary painter based in Dallas. He began experimenting with charcoals at age six and continued to sketch until he began taking formal art classes.
In 1994, Chuck earned his Bachelor’s degree in Advertising Design from Stephen F. Austin State University. It was also at this time his passion for painting first spilled onto the canvas.
Soon, Chuck's career took off in Advertising where he worked as an Art Director for various agencies in Dallas and later in Los Angeles. Throughout that time, Chuck continued to paint, honing his skills and developing his style.
Today, Chuck's work is bigger than life as it portrays a range of character-driven images and human emotion on a grand scale. His use of vibrant color inside distinct outlines results in pieces that are compositionally distinct yet visually intense. |
